The essential stop for the ever growing

SurfTheChannel.com was launched in early October 2007 with the aim of indexing links to "all videos, everywhere" and listing them in easy to navigate pages. Quite a task considering the millions of videos online!
As the project has developed they have tried various different layouts and systems eventually settling on a simple search engine style of site. This format has developed into the premier video indexing website on the internet visited by 21 million unique users per month. This accounts for over 200 million unique pages viewed every month.
In October 2008 an enhanced user area was added to the site that allowed the users to manage their profiles, create/join groups, add links to their favorites and rate video links according to quality.
In December 2008 "Surf The Channel" was named as the 10th fastest rising search query on Google. Also in December 08 STC made progress with several TV networks, studios and broadcasters and finally signed various deals to index and link to their content.
2009 is set to be a massive sea change in online video viewing. SurfTheChannel has set itself a target of being in the top 100 visited websites globally by the end of the year 2009, this will leave it perfectly placed to become an essential stop for the ever growing online video user base.
